Shere-Khan was born of the Dakari x GSD bitch breeding.
He has been kept behind as a potential stud for use as future Ta-Kari foundation stock. Shere-Khan is developing nicely and is what I was hoping for in many ways
conformationally... He is lean and lanky and starting get get leggy. He has a long, straight tail (yay!) and big feet.
His head is more of the GSD head (larger ears, wider muzzle) and he has rounder, darker eyes... but I believe he will contribute
to our lines what we are looking for and giving us more diversity in our breeding program. (He will be continually monitored
as to growth and health tested for potential future stud use with Ta-Kari stock.) His ears have been going up and down
(they were up for awhile, but the pack played with them too much, which weakened them... Just when I was thinking they wouldn't
come up, they've been teasing me... up then down, up then down. I think they're fighting!! Temperamentally he is INCREDIBLE...
He is such a sweet boy, and loves attention and affection. He is very laid back (which is exactly what I expected with
his breeding) and is content to be at his humans' feet. He is low in the pack hierarchy with no aggressive tendencies.
He is handler sensitive and submissive and very willing to please. And yes, very smart. As a puppy, he was the first of his litter to paper-train and consistently
hit! He was crate-trained at 7 weeks. He is house-trained as well.... One day I just picked the paper up, and
he's not messed in the house ever. He has been left for 3-4 hours at a time in the house and has never messed.
[His father Dakari was just like that.] He is up to date
on shots and is microchipped. Still needs help with carsickness. As with the rest of my pack, he is raw
fed and LOVES mealtime!!!! He is not a picky eater at all He
really is such a good boy... I am very happy with him.
