Future Breeding Plans

GOALS AND PLANS FOR TA-KARI'S BREEDING PROGRAM...
updated 9/6/10

For over a year now, knowing we would have to diversify our lines, we have been researching new breeds to introduce to our breeding stock in order to produce a healthy, vibrant, more wolfy-looking Aatu Tamaskan.  The year 2010 will see the realization of this research.

Our goals are summed up in this saying:

Quality is never an accident; it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it shows the wise choice of many alternatives~ William Foster

My loyalty and commitment is first to my dogs and then to those that come to us.  The only people I owe anything to are puppy adopters, and what I owe is honesty in every aspect by sharing knowledge, education and truth about our dogs, their pedigrees and future intentions for our breeding program and the Aatu.

Our focus is to continually improve on our stock and the Aatu in every way.  We will promote a mentality of "superior" in all prospective breeders, and will maintain and advocate the highest of ethical and breeding standards, including excellent care for sires and dams and puppies, health testing, full disclosure of pedigree and health issues, and complete honesty and integrity.  Anything less will not do!!!

We have spent a tremendous amount of time researching and speaking with experienced and reputable breeders and reproductive specialists.  We will deal with and follow  proven scientific and veterinary research, not simply opinion, to ensure the health of our dogs and their offspring.  (People are always willing to give their opinion as to how things are done, but never have the research to back it up.) All adopters will have access to our vet should they have any questions.

 PLANS FOR BREEDING:

Takeia and Dakari are two of the foundation dogs for the Aatu Tamaskan in the US.  Use of a studs with Takeia will create new bloodlines not yet found in the US.  We are also currently in contact with breeders to provide additional stock to add what we are looking at for the Aatu Tamaskan's future.  2010 will see the introduction of new outcross breeds and foundation dogs.

9/2010 - Plans are in the works for Takeia's next breeding to an outcross stud dog in order to introduce new lines for our foundation stock.  In addition to the new foundation stock, I plan to keep a female puppy from  one, if not two, of Takeia's stud matings. This female(s) can later be bred to Dakari, and other available studs, as there will be no relation, providing additional bloodlines for the growth of the Aatu Tamaskan.  Plans are that as long as Takeia remains healthy, she will provide  4 litters, in order to introduce the new lines and keep her genes in the pool, and be retired before she is 5 years old.  She will remain my beloved pet and #1 girl. She will be Service Dog certified so that she can be my shadow wherever I go.

NEXT LITTER PLANS: Please see "Outcross Stud" page next.

My reputation as a breeder is very important to me.  Therefore, full disclosure will be made to all adopters regarding the pedigree in our pups, and any health issues that there may have been in those lines.   In fact, this information has been already posted on this site and any screened applicants are fully advised upon screening.

HONESTY - FULL DISCLOSURE - INTEGRITY!!!

My promise and guarantee.
